Guided Urge Surfing: A Tool for Cravings

Urge Surfing is an evidence-based mindfulness technique used to navigate intense cravings or urges without acting on them. Like a wave, an urge will peak and then subside. This guided exercise helps you 'ride the wave' by observing the physical sensations of a craving with psychological flexibility. Use this tool in the moment when you notice a pull toward alcohol or other drugs.
